Is Chump's nationalistic, isolationist rhetoric already having the desired effect?

South Korea is mulling upping U.S. imports as a preemptive action against a possible protectionist stance. With a $23.3 billion trade surplus in 2016 it is considering an increase in imports of of shale gas, semiconductor and automobile, aircraft and aviation parts as a means to narrowing the deficit in trade with the United States to build a defence against the new administration under President Donald Chump .

As the saying goes 'More than one way.................'
