The rest of this nonsense doggerel, often wrongly attributed to the poet Ogden Nash, asks where the boidies is.
This got me thinking about the boids and the beez and their Spring mating and procreation proclivities. Which in turn had me wondering when the most popular human birth month was and whether the advent of Spring has any bearing on our mating desires.
Turns out the 26th September is the most popular birthday in the UK - 39 weeks and 2 days after Christmas Day. So it would seem that it is not Spring but the season of giving that tickles our fancy most.
And it seems it is not the cold that gets us snuggling. Australia also sees September as the most popular month so the festive season is responsible for a good deal of the baby making globally!
The most popular birthday globally? September 16th.
Which begs the question 'What is so special about the 11th December?' which according to a Harvard study is the most fertile of days.
Perhaps the answer lies not in the outside temperature or the festive season but rather the absence of good telly at that time of year!
